A southern Heidelberg district – historically an independent municipality, today with a large industrial area and new housing.
Kirchheim is Heidelberg's most populous district. Independent until 1920, it still has its own identity with a historic centre and the Schwetzinger Straße. Industry and logistics sit in the south, while established residential neighbourhoods lie to the north.
